~~ri ~I' <br />Soil Removal/Investigation: There are five azeas of known petroleum- <br />contaminated soil (PCS) on the subject property. The PCS will be excavated, <br />transported to an off-site disposal facility, and confirmation samples collected and <br />analyzed. Two potential sumps will be excavated and investigated. <br />Dispose of Pre-Existing Petroleum Contaminated Soil: Transport to a County- <br />specified disposal facility five (5) 55-gallon drums containing petroleuxn <br />contaminated soil generated during on-site investigation activities. Engineer will <br />provide soil analytical data to Contractor. <br />1.2 PERMITS <br />A. Obtain all permits required for this work. <br />1.3 INSPECTION OF WORK AREA <br />A. Examine the work azea and become satisfied as to the conditions of the work <br />involved and the quantities of materials required for the performance of the <br />work. <br />1.4 VERIFICATION OF MEASUREMENTS <br />A. Verify measurements and be responsible that executed dimensions fit actual <br />conditions, regazdless of the drawings, and report discrepancies to the Engineer <br />before proceeding with the work. The Contractor will not receive extra <br />compensation for verification of ineasurements or for labor or material expended <br />on account of such differences. <br />1.5 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br />A.
