~ Environmental Updates: Senator Building has a lot of asbestos in the outside kin. The FTA
~, has agreed to remove it. We are looking at about $300k for the abatement of the Se ator Building.
~ Dan reported that the cleanup level is within 1%. The asbestos levels of the Tic r Building are
nominal. It is mainly linoleum products and ceiling tiles in that building. The revie appraisals are
back on the buildings we are are acquiring. The sellers will not be responsible fo I the cost of the
clean up on the buildings. They are still negotiating on the tanks. '
Dan reported that we will go over budget on environmental. The boring samples, wi I the exception
of the Chevron site, are good. There are still potential issues that may come up hen we begin
excavation. The petroleum levels are encouraging. I
Geo-Technical reports: Dan will have these tomorrow. We still need to o these on the
southwest and north sides of the block. There will be enough information to start on he excavation.
Kim said that we want the geo-tech on site. At this time, they are coming up with ri er rock. There
will be ongoing testing while the work is underway. If there are soft spots, they will ave to be dealt
with.
Contract: Curt asked if Arbuckle is going to contract with Dan, and Dan, in turn~~ contracts with
the county and transit. Bond counsel has said they would be more receptive if the co act are signed
with county and the architect. RG stated that he is concerned that this may negate the TA contracts.
Randy didn't think this would impact the FTA contracts. Curt said that bond couns 1 is concerned
with this also. Randy said that this is not a significant concern. The first step is getti g the attorneys
to wrap up the contract language. ',
i
Meeting adj ourned.
Next meeting: February 27, 2pm.
