~
alternative than put mailbox out front and having the post office drop it at that location.
ACTION: Richard will follow up with the post office to see what amangements can be worked out
concerning delivery of mail.
Negotiations:
Randy briefed the group on negotiations that have been taldng place with Dan Berrey in the past few
days. There is a chance that he could pull out of project and leave some things at risk, like having to
find another project manager. The worst possible scenario would follow that the current general
contractor and architect would not stay on the project. They signed on as a team with Dan Berrey. ff
one or both arclutect & general contractor is missing, it is very unlikely this project will begin this year.
There would be delays until a new architect and/or general contractor are on board. That would mean
possibly 3 years not 2 years at the annex; pmject costs go up in the meantime. There are positive signs it
may not happen. It will possibly be the end of the week before we know the status of this situation. We
aze still operating on schedule and are continuing to award contracts. This is for management only and
staff does not need to l~ow. We are still in negotiations working on the problems with compensation,
and it may all work out. We are proceeding on schedule or proceeding as if " behind schedule".
Nothing will ldll the project - just delay it.
Annez Community:
Richard has been in contact with Beth Hawk at Risk Management in regard to providing recreational
sports equipment at the annex. There is space available. We aze looking at a portable basketball
backboard and Risk has a weight bench they will let us use. We will post liability notice per David's
request to cover any situations. We are looking at something to liven up things and help create a
community atmosphere. A request has been made about another break room area in the warehouse
area, and Richard indicated it would be available for use by all employees. We are also looking at adding
a couple picnic tables in the warehouse area. Richard has e-mails sent out re: community action
meetings for the annex.
Meeting adjoumed.
~
