used to request proposals.
~ Randy has an interview today with project manager applicants. Bids are formally due on
Monday, the 19'~ and we will be conducting the rest of the interviews next week. County and
Transit (Randy and RG) will be doing the interviews. There has been a lot of response, from
big companies to the working-out-of-garage type operations.
ACTION: Ra.ndy will obtain recommendations from the State of Oregon on potential
candidates.
The alley vacation is to be completed by end of the month . The closing ageement between
County and Transit will be satisfied and we will close escrow for joint ownership of whole
block by June l.
Other Status Reports
The fire marshall was out at the Annex for his inspection on Thursday of last week. It resulted
in a small list, with maybe a dozen items. There were mainly housekeeping items, and not
many mechanical flaws to correct other than adding a couple panic bars, additional e~t lights
and some signage. The fire extinguisher locations were pointed out by the fire marshall and
facilities management will do the installation. Mention was made of Public Works area did not
have defined aisle ways, but that area will be corrected when their new partitions are in and that
area is reworked.
~ The question of who pays for these added manhours for repositioning partitions came up. Elyn
responded that it is a departmental expense. We would do the perimeters and then the internal
azea is up to each department to work out. Mike has been getting a lot of requests in this area.
ACTION: Bob to formalize the process and will handle by sending e-mails. Please include
Richard in the loop for this process.
Randy had a comment on the set up of the partitions in the entryway. If someone is in the wrong
area, they have to go back outside and then come in another door. Why did we do this? Bob
responded that it was designed to give each department their own entrance. There are signs
above the doors identifying the departments. The other main item is the ability to regulate the
entrance of customers and the hours each department is open. This is really a customer service
issue.
Parking
Randy noted that some employees are still pazking up front. Richard said that the parking issue
was addressed in their meeting last week. Each department was to take this information back
and share it within their department. The plan was to leave 8 spaces in the center to be
designated as customer pazking.
ACTION: Richard to monitor the progress andlor success of this approach.
Signs on Annez
It was noted that the BEST sign is gone, but it was just painted black to cover up the name. The
new signage is on the front of the building now and the Devonshire sign is ready but not up yet.
Page 2
