the e~chaust fan motors will need maintenance and it will be necessary to have backup
~ parts immediately available. In the event of a 10 year flood, we may have to allow a
controlled flood in the lower level to accommodate the extra water.
COUNTY FAIR: July 10-13. Arbuckle Costic has been talking about building a new
model for fair, but this may not be necessary at this time. Depending on the study results,
we may need to re-design and would then end up building another one. The original
model is still close enough to the current plans. Elyn will find out what the status on the
new model is and ask if we can stop production. If she finds that the architects are
building a new model for good reasons, other than the presentation at County Fair, it
would be acceptable to continue with its construction. Peggy is designing a universal
brochure for County Fair as well.
PROJECT MANAGERS: Last week Elyn met with Tom Wolfgram and Melvin Marks.
She will provide them with all fiscal data up to June 30. They need to include past
expenses in order to keep track of the total project cost.
As of July 1 all billings and payments will go through the Melvin Marks accountants.
Elyn will send notice to all Contractors to begin sending bills to us as of July 1. Century
West and Staton are the only contxactors with active projects. Also, the abatement
contractors may still have change orders due to asbestos since they have already found
some in the old CD building.
~
ART WALL: The contractor who cut out the wall at the Beri Bldg. donated his labor to
move the wall. This amounted to $1600. We will send an appreciation letter from the
BOC. We will also invite him to all ground breaking ceremonies, etc.
FUNDING: The Transit money is being held up by 4 permits from the city. Sandy is
working on it now and Elyn will call her to try to get things moving. We have already
borrowed $600,000 from Solid Waste and we don't want to borrow more.
~
