Permitting
All permits have been identified, but not all costs.
Structural
First item is gone.
Signage
When Craig mails out the packet of standard signage, this can be removed.
Building System
Regarding fire, life safety requirements, is it appropriate for Interface to do this? Yes, Leonard is
pursuing this with regazd to some issues of ventilation, etc.
Byron and Bruce from Northwest Natural gas aze talking. Leonard has asked for a letter from PGE
regazding the transformer question.
The security system has no definition for budget.
Bob McCune, Marion County, can provide qualifying information for needs for data communications.
Once Bob provides specs, Dave needs to include into the budget. Security will be outside of the shell
costs. County currently uses security key cazd system and county needs to provide specs to
Pence/Kelly for bid package. Courthouse currently doesn't use video surveillance. R.G. will have staff
from 6:00 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. and may be able to tie the systems together. County will have custodial
sta.ff in the building until 1:00 a.m. Dave and Leonard need to have a meeting to work out spec and
~ scope. Some security issues will be TI's and some will go into shell costs, but do need to be included in
budget.
Architectural
Did Pence/Kelly get an upgraded count of facilities we are putting in? Not yet. Dave should have
the latest information on special requirements for restrooms in transit azea for pricing. Vandal proofing
could be more e~ensive. We aze looking at four single ADA water closets, with vandal proofing, on
this level. The rest can be treated as standazds. Look at hanging fixtures on wa11 not the floor for easier
cleaning.
On the size of electrical generators, we need something for assumptions. Leonard will have people call
Byron. The federal presence is an audit trial.
Discussion was held concerning DC lighting systems. We are talking DC control mercury vapor.
Leonard raised this issue with Interface and they are talking low voltage lighting control, with high
voltage for actual lighting. The savings comes in control with low voltage. Dan B. didn't think they
were talking the same system, so he will bring in a spec so they could look at it and see what it is to
make sure they are both talking about the same system.
We will have a cost evaluation phase after the plans are done where we can look at some costs for
specific items to see if Randy and R.G. want to expend these costs.
Meeting adjourned.
~
