FTA auditors have been in town the last week and a half reviewing documents of both transit and
county. Randy Curtis and David Hartwig would be involved in the exit interview this afternoon.
~ Transit requested that someone from Melvin Mark be added to this team and Craig Lewis will
represent them. Ralph Grim, county treasurer, was suggested as an addition and he will be
consulted to see if his schedule will allow him to participate on some level. Jeff Davis, interim
county administrator, is another possibility to add to this team.
The Transition Team will work to coordinate the department move, lease prospective space, and
parking allocations. Randy Curtis will chair this team. Randy Curtis with assistance from his
staff will coordinate county efforts, and Tom Wolfgram will coordinate this effort for transit.
The North Block Development Team will be chaired by R.G. Andersen-Wyckoff and will
coordinate the RFP, and selection process. Transit suggested that David Hartwig, as county
contractual administrator be included. Billy Wasson will check on David's availability. Randy
Franke also suggested that Commissioner pon Wyant, Jr. might be another possible addition to this
team. Melvin Mark will be included as a team member.
The current internal staff team was not included in this organizational chart. It was decided that
it will remain and operate as the Joint Coordinating Team (JCT) on the top portion of the chart.
Randy Franke expressed an interest to attend as many of the Development Team meetings as
possible and would like to be informed of agenda and meeting schedules. The same opportunity
will be extend to Mark Wieprecht of the transit board.
5. Schedule of Meeting~
The Development Team will meet weekly and include any sub-groups as necessary. The meetings
will be Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m at Arbuckle Costic's office. The 7oint Coordinating Team
will meet the first and third Thursday of each month during a working lunch session from 12:00
until 2:00 p.m. at the county courthouse. Lunch will be provided through the courthouse
Coffeeshop.
2. Charter Advisory Committee
R. G. Andersen-Wyckoff prepared a draft charter for a Courthouse Square Citizens Advisory
Committee (CAC). The following points were used in drafting this document: the use of "advisory"
rather than "oversight" or "steering" committee; wanted flexibility in dealing with politically
sensitive issues in terminology; and importance to tie the Committee to the boards. Maynard
Hammer, SPOC member, had an opportunity to review this draft and make corrections, along with
transit legal counsel and staff.
Neither board was ready to identify specific individuals for this committee at this time, though some
discussion was held about some possible candidates. Transit had some initial discussions with
Richard Pine, who is currently serving as local government chair for the Chamber of Commerce,
~
