Upon obtaining knowledge thereof, Developer shall promptly notify Owner in writing of <br />any violation of any Applicable Law, and advise Owner of any potential violation of new <br />Applicable Law, Developer shall advise Owner of the steps required to cure such violation or <br />future violation, including whether or not such violation of such Applicable Law, or the <br />application thereof to the Project or Owner, should be contested. Unless Owner shall elect to <br />contest such violation or Applicable Law, Developer shall take such steps as are necessary to <br />correct such violation or as aze otherwise required to comply with Applicable Laws. If Owner <br />elects to contest such violation of Applicable Law, Developer shall assist Owner in such contest <br />and shall supervise and consult with any professional advisers retained to conduct such contest. <br />Nothing herein shall be construed to require or permit Developer to fail to cure promptly any such <br />violation or fail to comply promptly with any such Applicable Law, if such failure would or might <br />expose Developer or Owner to any criminal liability. Any expense incurred by Developer <br />pursuant to this Section 7.2 shall be an expense of the Project chargeable to Owner, the general <br />contractor, or the azchitect, as the case may be. <br />7.3 Impositions <br />Developer shall forward to Owner for payment, all Impositions. Developer shall receive <br />and verify bills or statements for all Impositions and shall furnish receipted copies of such bills and <br />statements to Owner. Developer shall also advise Owner (a) of any material increase in any <br />Imposition, (b) whether the amount of any Imposition should be challenged, and (c) the means <br />available for obtaining a reduction of the same, together with its recomrnendations as to the <br />course of action to be pursued. If Owner shall so request, Developer shall institute appropriate <br />protests or challenges to the Imposition or take such other appropriate steps to obtain a reduction <br />~ of the same. All Impositions and any expenses of Developer reasonably incurred in contesting the <br />same or otherwise seeking a reduction thereo~ including legal, professional, appraisal, and <br />
