Waste Discha be Limitations not to be Eaceeded by Facilities Covered by this General Permit: <br />Pazameters Limitations <br />~H* Shall not exceed lmg/1* <br />BETX** Shall not exceed 0.25 mg/L <br />Benzene Shall not exceed 0.025 mg/L <br />pH Shall be within range 6.0 - 9.0 <br />* TPH means total petroleum hydrocarbons. EPA Method 1664, NW TPH or other approved <br />method, shall be used for TPH analysis. If EPA method 1664 or other approved method which <br />have a method detection limit greater than 1 mg/1 is used, then the TPH concentration shall not be <br />greater than the method detection limit. If refinements aze made to EPA method 1664 or other <br />approved methods are developed, which have a method detection limit less than 1 mg/1, then the <br />1 mg/l limit specified above would apply. ~ <br />** BE`I~ means the cumulative total of benzene, ethylbenzene, toluene, and :rylenes. EPA methc~ <br />8020, or equivalent, shall be used for these analyses. <br />2. Minimum Dilution Requirement: The discharge flow rate from the cleanup site shall be regulated so <br />that a minimum dilution of 10:1 is maintained with the receiving stream at all times. <br />3. Miaing Zone: Notwithstanding the effluent limitations established by this permit except as provided in <br />OAR 340-45-080, no wastes shall be discharged and no activities shall be condlicted which will violate <br />Water Quality Standards as adopted in OAR Chapter 340 Division 41 except in the following defined <br />mixing zone: <br />The allowable mixing zone shall not extend out into the stream more than one half the receiving <br />stream width and shall not extend up or down the stream more than one receivi.ng stream width. In <br />no case shall the mixing zone extend beyond a radius of 10 meters from the point of discharge. <br />~ <br />
