INTRODUCTION This narrative has been prepared to provide more detailed information regarding the scope of services, costs, safety, recycling and philosophy of Staton Construction, which can not be accurately reflected in the bid documents. SAFETY Safety for the public, Staton employees and the employees of our subcontractors is the number one concern of any project in which our firm becomes involved. Our employees work under a written company safety program. Our employees and our subcontractors will work under a written site specific safety plan for this project. Daily safety tailgate meetings will be required throughout project duration. Industry, State and Federal safe work practices will be followed. Staton has a strong safety record. For over 25 years we have specialized in difficult concrete demolition projects. We feel this experience will provide the County with a level of security many contractors are not able to provide. tn 25 years of demolition we have performed over 3500 projects. We have developed procedures and methods in management and field work which provide the level of safety and efficiency which conscientious clients are looking for. Site fencing, dust control, clean work site, excellent equipment, employee training, operator and driver courtesy to the public and neighbors are all important components of our safety program. WORK SUMMARY Staton has over 40 pieces of specialized, late model, well maintained demolition equipment and trucks. Many are unique to the industry and provide us with distinct capabilities and advantages. A current equipment list is attached. Most of our employees are long term veterans with our company. Our top 10 employees have been with Staton for 12 years or longer. These employees have a strong history in the demolition industry, are intelligent managers and make excellent field decisions. You can expect to see our best on this project. 2
