The contractor shall notify the Owner or Owners Representative 24 hours in <br />advance of the time that test services are needed to allow adequate scheduling of <br />equipment and personnel. <br />B. If the contractor fails to meet final clearance standards, the contractor shall reclean the <br />work area to meet such standards. Costs incurred by the Owner or Owners <br />Representative for retesting of final clearances shall be deducted from the sums <br />originally due the contractor. <br />Basement Removal <br />A. Perform excavation work in a systematic manner as necessary to safely and completely <br />demolish and remove basements and basement walls including appurtenances related <br />to and connected thereto. <br />B. Debris, including masonry, concrete, metals and similar materials shall become <br />property of contractor and shall be disposed of offthe site by the contractor. To the <br />practical extent, provide for separate sorting of demolition debris for recycling and <br />resource recovery. <br />C. Shoring, Sheeting and Bracing: Maintain angles of repose for banks and excavations <br />over five feet deep to protect workers. Extend shoring and bracing to the bottom of <br />the excavation. Shoring slope angles shall be in compliance with applicable Oregon <br />Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. <br />D. Any petroleum impacted soil encountered during excavation shall be stockpiled on- <br />site. Stockpiles shall be line, bermed and covered to prevent infiltration of water. <br />E. Cleanup: Upon completion of this section, and after removal of all debris, leave site in <br />clean condition satisfactory to the Owner or the Owner's Representative. Dispose of <br />all items and materials not required to remain property of Marion County as well as all <br />debris and rubbish from demolition operations. <br />F. Upon completion of this section, contractor shall smooth or grade all ground surfaces <br />where applicable. <br />Recycling <br />A.
