3. Mike asked if we want to leave a patch of asphalt as a staging area for work during the winter. <br />Kathleen said no, take everything out. <br />4. Staton has been selected to remove basements for all buildings on the site. David Hartwig says he <br />will get a letter to Mike stating Marion County's intent to modify Staton's contract to include the <br />basements. Staton will begin removing the basements on September 2°d, and will be finished by <br />September 26. <br />David asked about Staton's willingness and ability to perform remedial excavation. Mike said that <br />he has provided numbers to Tom Gainer and that Ron Richie would be the project manager for <br />Staton on this phase of the project. David asked if, in the event Staton is granted a modification <br />of their contract to perform the work, how soon could they start. Mike replied that they could start <br />on completion of basement excavation, possibly earlier. <br />6. Staton intends to leave the tree removal for last in order to avoid having to deal with an irate public. <br />7. Pence Kelly has requested that their workers on the Statesman Journal site be allowed to park on <br />the Chevron site.
