In addition to temporary employees, interns, college work study, or others in jobs <br />programs whereby incumbents are performing developmental or experiential assignments may be <br />included in this classification. Incumbents assist employees involved in a variety of functions that <br />support the day to day operations of a division or program. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the close supervision of an employee of higher rank or manager who gives detailed <br />instructions and reviews work performance. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Uses power equipment and hand tools to mow and trim lawns, remove grass, leaves or litter from <br />lawn and walk areas. <br />2.Assists in the sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing and polishing of floors. <br />3.Cleans rest rooms, inventories supplies and uses power equipment involved in custodial duties. <br />4.Operates light pickup or car to transport materials, parts, or supplies to field locations. <br />5.Acts as toll-taker on the Wheatland Ferry under supervision of the Ferry Operator. <br />6.Acts as rodman, chainman, axeman or stakeman with a field survey party in establishing line and <br />grade; clears brush, weeds and other obstacles from transit line, using axe, saw, hedge knife or <br />scythe; assists engineer in establishing line and grade, using level rod, flag, tapes or engineer's <br />chain; marks and drives stakes for line and grade. <br />7.Makes simple computations on cross sections and performs routine drafting work including linen <br />tracings from recorded surveys. <br />8.Traces, inks, letters and does simple drafting on engineering plans, maps, charts and graphs in <br />connection with the preparation of maps, plans and drawings. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
