Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />7.Maintains consumer records and documents in a timely manner services provided to reflect <br />progress in services as well as service needs. <br />8.Assesses individual consumer functional skills and treatment needs. Develops individual consumer <br />treatment plans. <br />9.May work with and assist in orientation and training of practicum students and/or volunteers. <br />10.Works with a team, collaborating with other team members. Serves as a team leader designee. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.*CADC-II or other state certification equivalent to CADC-II AND <br />2.At least two (2) years of experience in alcohol and drug counseling experience or in program <br />coordination in a field related to youth and family, public health, emergency preparedness, or <br />behavioral health services. <br />3.*CADCII: BA or BS Degree (or equivalency - a minimum of an AA degree, and a combination of <br />academic courses with specific training in the addiction counseling competencies commensurate <br />with baccalaureate degree credit/hour requirements) with a minimum of 300 (30 quarter or 20 <br />semester) hours; and 4,000 supervised experience hours in the addictions counselor <br />competencies. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Working knowledge of: the general concepts of substance-related disorder and mental health; knowledge <br />about community resources; <br />Skills and abilities concerning: treatment of substance-related disorders including consumer evaluation <br />and individual, group, family and other counseling techniques; referrals such as domestic violence <br />dynamics, smoking cessation, mental health, and family; keeping privileged information <br />confidential; establishing positive working relationships with other employees, consumers and their <br />families, other agencies and the public; following directions in a professional manner; preparing reports <br />and document consumer services in a timely and professional manner; functioning independently without <br />close supervision. <br />ADOPTED: <br />09/04 <br />REVISED: <br />05/06; 03/08; 06/14; 07/14; 01/15 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />09/13 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br />
