<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Electronics Technician <br />1 Communications <br />Class Code: <br />451 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$22.23 - $29.79 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt 03 TechniciansPublic Works <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Installs, repairs and maintains two-way radio and other electronic equipment. May perform any task of <br />lower level class in this classification series. Performs related duties as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the supervision of the Administration Division Manager, who assigns work, establishes <br />goals and reviews results for effectiveness and conformance to department standards. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification; however, may <br />exercise lead direction over assigned personnel or temporary workers. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Installs, repairs, replaces and maintains fixed-base and mobile radio receivers, transmitters and all <br />related equipment for the public works department, other county departments, and other agencies <br />under contract. <br />2.Installs personal computers and related wiring; affects electrical/wiring and integrated circuit <br />repairs of computers and related hardware. <br />3.Participates in the design, manufacture and/or modification, and installation of electronic and other <br />equipment used in the operation of county radio systems; assists in the development of special <br />purpose radio and electronic equipment. <br />4.Assists in the maintenance of a computerized system containing location, status, and activity on all <br />communications equipment. <br />5.Maintains, calibrates and repairs test equipment used in the repair and maintenance of two-way <br />radio systems. <br />6.Assists in the repair and installation of automotive electrical systems and various other <br />electrical/electronic devices. <br />7.Performs on-call pager duty as necessary. <br />8.Performs other related duties as required. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
