Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />12.Coordinates and arranges training for department supervisors. <br />13.Evaluates programs, service delivery and resource allocation and utilization for quality <br />improvements. <br />14.Provides oversight of quality assurance for food and medical services provided to youth on <br />campus. <br />15.Provides oversight of emergency preparedness for operations during a disaster. <br />16.Reviews, assesses, and addresses department safety and security needs. <br />17.Provides on call backup for all programs and the department, responding to crisis and <br />emergencies. <br />18.Serves in the absence of the Department Director and/or program supervisors. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Bachelor's degree in social work, criminal justice, or a related field; AND <br />2.Five (5) years experience in juvenile justice field, three (3) of which were in a supervisory capacity; <br />OR <br />3.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Considerable knowledge of: adolescent development, family dynamics, juvenile delinquency and <br />behavior management, pro-social skill development, cognitive behavioral approaches, and other <br />evidence based practices and interventions; considerable knowledge of juvenile court operations, Oregon <br />Juvenile Justices Statutes, and the child welfare laws of the State of Oregon; leadership <br />skills, management techniques, personnel administration, performance appraisal, disciplinary processes, <br />and EEOC and employment practices; individual and group work with delinquent children, adolescents <br />and their families. <br />Ability to: train staff and work harmoniously with, supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate <br />employees; secure confidence and cooperation of community agencies, officials and other staff; assist in <br />union negotiations; seek, obtain and provide oversight of grant funding and subsequent programs. <br />ADOPTED: <br />03/81 <br />REVISED: <br />06/87; 04/93; 08/01; 05/07 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />01/03; 03/10; 08/15 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br />
