<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Juvenile Probation <br />Case Aide <br />Class Code: <br />164 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$18.67 - $25.02 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt 05 Paraprofessionals Juvenile <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />This classification serves to assist the Juvenile Probation Officers in completing administrative and case <br />management duties in the delivery of probation supports and interventions. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the direct supervision of a Juvenile Program Supervisor, or other assigned position of a <br />higher classification, who assigns duties and reviews work performance. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS <br />The Juvenile Probation Case Aide performs functions supporting the Probation Officer by completing <br />routine tasks and addressing details which increases the Probation Officer's capacity for client centered <br />services involving case planning, coordination, and interventions. Juvenile Probation Case Aides are not <br />responsible for case management decisions. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Provides administrative support to Juvenile Probation Officers or other assigned staff to include <br />scheduling appointments, completing, monitoring and updating case plans while tracking the <br />current status of clients. <br />2.Utilizes various information systems such as GroupWise, Microsoft Office, CRIS, OECI, JJIS and <br />multiple service provider data bases. <br />3.Accompany Probation Officer and detention staff to both announced and unannounced visits with <br />youth while also transporting youth to appointments. <br />4.Collects client information for compliance with court orders through collateral contacts with youth, <br />parents, school staff and treatment or program staff. <br />5.Collect fingerprints, photographs, DNA samples and urine samples per court orders. <br />6.Attend and participate in regular trainings. <br />7.Performs general support duties related to answering phones, typing, preparing documents, <br />making copies, filing and other organizational tasks. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
