<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Public Health Nurse 2 <br />Class Code: <br />511 <br />Bargaining Unit: 04 - Oregon Nurses Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />Established Date: Oct 1, 1975 <br />Revision Date: Oct 1, 2016 <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$29.57 - $37.74 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt 02 ProfessionalsHealth <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Provides comprehensive nursing assessments, develops intervention strategies, and provides nursing <br />services to individuals, families, groups, and communities; provides case management for high-risk <br />clients. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of a manager or supervisor, who assigns work, establishes goals <br />and reviews results obtained; may perform nursing duties as set forth in the medical standing orders <br />established for a specialty area. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this class. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />May perform any of the duties of the Public Health Nurse 1 class in this job series, but distinguished by a <br />primary focus on the duties listed below. <br />1.Solicits, initiates and promotes activities that maintain the health of individuals and families, <br />through teaching, counseling, and appropriate preventive and wellness measures. <br />2.Performs comprehensive nursing assessments of the individual's or family's physical, emotional, <br />developmental and environmental status. <br />3.Determines nursing diagnosis through use of screening and assessment. <br />4.Interprets health-related information to families, enabling them to integrate this information into <br />their daily lives.
