<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Public Health Nurse 3 <br />Class Code: <br />512 <br />Bargaining Unit: 04 - Oregon Nurses Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />Established Date: Oct 1, 1975 <br />Revision Date: Oct 1, 2016 <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$32.84 - $41.92 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt 02 ProfessionalsHealth <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Coordinate and oversee special public health projects and/or services; develop, monitor, evaluate, and <br />update the provision of specific public health nursing services; plan strategies to address community <br />health concerns. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the supervision of a manager or supervisor, who assigns work, establishes goals and <br />reviews results obtained; may perform nursing duties as set forth in the medical standing orders <br />established for a specialty area. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this class; however exercises lead <br />direction over newly hired nurses and student nurses. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />May perform any of the duties of the PHN 1 and PHN 2 classes in this job series, but distinguished <br />by a primary focus on the duties listed below. <br />1.Responsible for a defined program/service area in carrying out prevention, intervention and <br />services for identified health concerns of individuals, families, communities, and/or schools. <br />2.Provides a communication link between service provision and overall community planning and <br />development. <br />3.Performs comprehensive holistic assessments, including assessing the needs of individuals, <br />families, and communities. <br />4.Coordinates defined services; communicates and identifies community needs to health department <br />leadership. <br />5.Provides technical assistance to team members; guides, promotes and provides direct input into <br />development of service delivery systems. <br />6.Provides leadership in planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing a specific service <br />delivery and evaluation process; links customer service, team activities, and outcomes, and <br />evaluates effectiveness. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
