Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />8.Assists in reinforcing skills taught in skills-training groups in the form of DBT and Skill Streaming <br />for juveniles to address behavioral concerns in the areas of personal accountability, family issues, <br />coping skills and stress management, peer relationships, communication, independent living and <br />creating appropriate boundaries. <br />9.Provides and assists Group Workers in providing a combination of services necessary to comply <br />with the juvenile's ISP or MSP and the requirements in OAR 410-170-0090 for a BRS Shelter <br />Care. <br />10.Maintains an assigned caseload and provides case management services which may include <br />intake, assessment, problem identification, goal setting, and treatment planning. <br />11.Maintains accurate, complete and current records for all client services provided. <br />12.Reviews the documentation required each week of Group Workers for quality, content, and <br />appropriateness with juvenile's ISP or MSP. <br />13.Provides consultation and assessment to Group Workers of juveniles and their families within the <br />scope of BRS services. <br />14.While assisting with program development, meets monthly with Program Supervisor to review and <br />document juvenile progress in the program. <br />15.Works as a team member with all individuals and groups of people in the County and community. <br />16.Serves as an advocate/liaison in assisting juveniles to obtain necessary services, which includes <br />scheduling medical and/or mental health appointments, transitioning, community integration, <br />resource and referral. <br />17.Provides a written discharge summary to be included in the juvenile's Case Plan. <br />18.Performs related duties as required. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Bachelor's degree with major study in social work, psychology, sociology or a closely allied field; <br />AND <br />2.Two (2) years of experience in the care and rehabilitation of children or young adults. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Knowledge of: Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, Shelter Care or other Behavioral Rehabilitative <br />Services programs, at risk youth, adolescent development, juvenile behavior, intervention techniques and <br />family dynamics. <br />Skill in: facilitating evidence-based groups, providing one-on-one skills training with juveniles, parent <br />training, dealing with conflict and providing consultation. <br />Ability to: work cooperatively, respectfully and effectively with a diverse group of people; communicate <br />effectively in both oral and written form; complete notes, reports and other documents in a timely manner; <br />write clearly and concisely; manage time and workload efficiently and with minimal supervision; perform <br />job assignments with personal maturity, objectivity, efficacy and professional expertise within the scope of <br />program design and department standards of practice; collaborate with department staff in a positive <br />spirit of teamwork and cooperation; understand the importance of culture, ethnicity and community in <br />providing skills-training and other related social services. <br />ADOPTED: <br />05/16 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br />
