Ensures program funds are used effectively and within <br />budgetary guidelines and resources. <br />5.Provides performance management, including recruitment and hiring; new employee orientation <br />and training; performance evaluations; staff development; supervision; discipline; purchasing; risk <br />management/employee safety; and co-worker feedback. May respond to first-level employee <br />grievances. <br />6.Facilitates staff development efforts; promotes respect; cultural competency; positive work <br />environment; healthy conflict resolution and supports cooperative relationships within the program, <br />department, county and community. <br />7.Responsible for proper reporting, adherence and resolution to complaints and grievances. <br />8.Provides direct clinical services to clients as necessary. <br />9.Participates in scheduled trainings; attends meetings; represents department on committees, <br />advisory groups, policy boards, etc. as assigned. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Possession of a master's degree in a specific, professional health field related to the position and <br />two (2) years of responsible, professional experience including one (1) year in a supervisory, <br />leadership, or coordination capacity, such as training, scheduling and reviewing work, providing <br />guidance and technical expertise to others, providing input on performance evaluations and <br />making recommendations in the hiring process; OR <br />2.Possession of a bachelor's degree in a specific professional health field related to the position and <br />four (4) years of responsible, professional experience, including one (1) year in a supervisory, <br />leadership, or coordination capacity, such as training, scheduling and reviewing work, providing <br />guidance and technical expertise to others, providing input on performance evaluations and <br />making recommendations in the hiring process; OR <br />3.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Some positions in this class may require the possession of specific licenses, certifications or <br />> <br />registrations \[e.g., CADC, QMHA and/or QMHP\] <br />Some positions may be required to be credentialed as a Peer Support Specialist with at least 2 <br />> <br />years experience in a supervisor, leadership, or coordination capacity with peers in a behavioral <br />health program. <br />Must pass a criminal history background investigation; however, conviction of a crime may not <br />> <br />necessarily disqualify an individual for this classification. <br />Must possess, or obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Oregon driver's license. Must possess, at <br />> <br />time of hire, and maintain an acceptable driver's record. <br />Must be able to drive to service sites and meetings throughout Marion County and meetings in <br />> <br />other counties. <br />Must possess and maintain proof of personal automobile liability insurance, at a minimum, in the <br />> <br />amount required by Oregon Law \[ORS Chapter 806\] as may be required to utilize personal vehicle. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Working knowledge of principles and practices of specific service/treatment area or field.
