Develop and foster professional <br />relationships with employers, placement agencies and staffing services to ensure access to job <br />leads/opportunities within the community. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general direction of the assigned management staff who assigns duties and reviews <br />work for conformance to prescribed policies and procedures. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this class. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Researches local labor market to determine qualifications needed, job potential and average <br />wages; connects with local business to assist clients in obtaining employment in the community; <br />visits business work sites to discuss potential client employment. <br />2.Identifies and coordinates employment and other opportunities for client population. <br />3.Maintains career planning and resource center; monitors, reviews and changes assessment tools, <br />materials and work samples; administers and interprets vocation evaluation tests; develops <br />individual job search strategies. <br />4.Identifies needs in community for specific jobs and identifies skills required by those jobs; develops <br />curriculum and materials and conducts job search workshops. <br />5.Monitors participant progress; directs participant's actions and conducts follow-up of participants; <br />6.Maintains client and statistical records, conducts research, analyzes data and prepares reports. <br />7.Screens and assesses clients and makes referral to appropriate services; prepares, develops and <br />presents program information to orient clients; provides feedback to clients and directs to <br />appropriate resources. <br />8.Provides retention services to ensure client success and employer satisfaction through <br />communications as appropriate, including but not limited to client's place of employment, schooling <br />and/or home. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
