This may include providing <br />intervention services, technical support and other professional services to public and private medical <br />communities. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general direction of a supervisor who assigns and reviews work for conformance to <br />department policy. May also take direction from a Health Educator 3. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of employees is not a responsibility of positions within this class. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Identifies and coordinates resources for clients and programs. <br />2.Performs and/or initiates investigations, interviews and the screening process for referrals for high- <br />risk populations. <br />3.Compiles and provides study and exhibit materials to organizations and committees for use by <br />members and the public. <br />4.Conducts staff conferences and training programs for health and teacher personnel; conducts <br />courses and gives lectures on health education for teachers, nurses and others in training and in- <br />service; consults on curriculum content, teaching methods and objectives for training in health <br />education and for classroom educational activities. <br />5.Develops methods for coordinating educational activities among state, county, school and private <br />agencies. <br />6.Provides data and case studies for public presentation of health problems and instructions; <br />participates in professional conferences and programs; assists in preparing papers. <br />7.Assembles data for use in educational programs and assists in preparation of news releases, radio <br />and television scripts and articles. <br />8.Participates in selection, preparation and distribution of health education materials including <br />pamphlets, reports, films, exhibits and other audio-visual aides. <br />9.Performs other duties as assigned. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
