Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />4.Meets with customers on assigned projects or project components to develop and refine system <br />requirements, evaluate the cost benefit of alternatives, gain agreement on project deliverables, <br />metrics and service levels; and determines and resolves problem. <br />5.Defines application data requirements; identifies data sources; diagrams data flow and data <br />relationships; consults with customers and IT staff; leads, facilitates or participates in the logical <br />design of application databases; participates in the development of database specifications; <br />defines file/table structures; analyzes systems interface requirements; coordinates the integration <br />and migration of data between databases; and uses query tools to develop and generate reports. <br />6.Designs the parameters for test environments and testing scenarios; participates in conducting <br />systems tests and conversion and installation processes; identifies type and causes of test <br />problems and works with customers and IT staff to recommend and implement solutions; ensures <br />that all quality assurance reviews are completed successfully; ensures newly installed applications <br />are functioning correctly; and proposes disaster recovery plans. <br />7.Conducts training related to defined and documented processes, procedures and business <br />requirements and maintains appropriate records, information, documentation and reports; trains <br />customers on how to use new applications; coordinates customer support for assigned <br />applications; and develops customer manuals for applications. <br />8.Coordinates and integrates assigned work with other team members; evaluates work products and <br />hardware/software interfaces developed by outside contractors for conformance with <br />requirements. <br />9.Diagnoses problems found with software and recommends solutions. <br />10.Develops and implements plans to communicate with and involve customers, project teams, <br />affected management, department heads and elected officials regarding changes in plans, <br />estimates, deliverables, and other project related information. <br />11.Facilitates and participates in project team meetings providing an enterprise, cross-functional <br />perspective. Leads discussions to arrive at consensus and resolve conflicts between team <br />members. Meetings may include elected officials, department heads, internal department staff, <br />staff of other agencies, vendors, and project leadership teams. <br />12.At time of project completion, closes files and reviews records to ensure documentation is <br />appropriate and complete. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from a four (4) year college or university with major course work in computer science, <br />business or a related field; AND <br />2.Five (5) years of increasingly responsible business systems experience that involves working with <br />context diagrams, business requirements, business process documentation, process mapping, <br />and workflow analysis; OR <br />3.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />1.Must possess, or obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Oregon driver's license. <br />2.Must possess and maintain an acceptable driving record. <br />3.Final candidate must pass a criminal history background investigation.
