Recommends, develops, and supports <br />technology solutions for use by the IT Department. Provides research on products. Prepares formal <br />written reports. Develops and tracks implementation plans and schedules. Determines testing <br />methodologies and develops testing plans. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of an IT manager, who assigns and reviews work for conformance <br />to established policies, processes, and procedures. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Determines resources and staffing needs; coordinates allocation of resources and assignment of staff <br />with IT management. Assigns tasks and directs the work of other IT employees in the implementation and <br />support of systems and tools used by the IT Department. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Assigns tasks and directs the work of IT staff in the implementation and support of systems and <br />tools used by the IT Department. <br />2.Identifies, designs, develops, and supports improvements to IT services through innovation by <br />utilizing both existing technologies and introducing new technologies; recommends process <br />improvements; documents processes, procedures, and work instructions. <br />3.Conducts product research; evaluates new products or technologies; consults and advises IT <br />management on the use of new technology; analyzes effects on other products and technologies; <br />determines level of technology needed for product efficiencies; tests against IT standards and <br />recommends standards when none exists; makes recommendations for improvements based on <br />findings. <br />4.Prepares written formal reports including narratives, recommendations, executive summaries, <br />statistical analysis, and graphing; develops white papers including structure, steps, methodology, <br />and recommendations. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
