Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />4.Monitors and oversees day-to-day operation, performance and space requirements of enterprise- <br />wide databases that operate on county servers. <br />5.Migrates current databases into new database structure when required; tunes databases and <br />applications. <br />6.Generates and monitors database management reports for management reflecting trend analysis; <br />advises management of required upgrades or replacement of current hardware or database <br />version releases. <br />7.Provides secure environment for databases and processes, establishes and enforces security <br />guidelines for terminal access, prepares application security reports, password expiration and <br />protection of computer resources. <br />8.Develops and maintains structure documentation; formulates and enforces standards for data <br />management. <br />9.Maintains data integrity with backup, archive and recovery processes. <br />10.Performs other database duties as may be assigned. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Associate degree in computer science or related degree; AND <br />2.Five (5) years of database analysis and data modeling experience; AND <br />3.Five (5) years of database administration experience, which may be concurrent with #2; OR <br />4.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Requires strong technical skills in: database management and ERP administration and support. <br />Ability to: work independently and also be a strong team member; handle multiple projects and tasks <br />simultaneously with tight deadlines; understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions; have <br />a high level of computer efficiency and systems knowledge; design and analyze data information and <br />establish priorities. <br />ADOPTED: <br />04/02 <br />REVISED: <br />12/08 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />12/08; 01/11; 01/18 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br />
