Directs others in maintaining <br />and securing the operation of these systems and plans for or accommodates their growth and <br />expansion. Serves as lead systems administrator and ensures that security requirements on the <br />enterprise network are followed. Does related work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of an Information Technology Manager who assigns work, <br />establishes goals, and reviews work for conformance to technical and department standards and <br />compliance with department goals. <br />UPERVISION EXERCISED <br />> <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification; however, <br />incumbents in this classification exercise lead direction over other Information Technology personnel as <br />directed by management. <br />DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS <br />This classification series includes Network Analyst (NA) 1, 2 and 3. The Network Analyst 3 has thorough <br />knowledge and understanding of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of network systems and <br />administration. Work is varied and involves a high level of complexity, with responsibility for the work <br />product of an assigned team of NA1s and NA2s. Assignments require considerable evaluation, originality, <br />or ingenuity. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Directs and evaluates the work of other NA1s and NA2s in accomplishing assigned tasks in a team <br />environment. <br />2.Administers large Windows and Novell local area networks with multiple file, application, and print <br />servers, as well as routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, IPS systems, and wireless devices. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
