Assists in maintaining and <br />securing the operation of these systems and accommodates their growth and expansion. Does related <br />work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of an Information Technology Manager who assigns work, <br />establishes goals, and reviews work for conformance to technical and department standards and in <br />compliance with department goals. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS <br />This classification series includes Network Analyst 1, 2 and 3. Network Analyst 1 is the entry-level <br />classification, and knows basic operational concepts of network fundamentals, practices, and procedures <br />of network systems and administration. Work is routine and of limited difficulty and usually involves <br />limited responsibility under the direction of a Network Analyst 2 or 3. Assignments require some <br />evaluation, originality or ingenuity. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Supports and assists the administration of large Windows and Novell local area networks with <br />multiple file, application, and print servers as well as routers, switches, and wireless devices. <br />2.Administer users (password resets, etc.) in Active Directory environment. <br />3.Configure and install end node devices such as remote office PIX, router, or switch. <br />4.Assists in administration of wide area network, as directed.
