Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />6.Adds workstations and users, adapter cards, disk drives, and other hardware options into new and <br />existing equipment. Installs commercial and internally developed applications and troubleshoots <br />problems that occur. <br />7.Works with other department analysts and outside consultants on troubleshooting and resolution <br />for maintaining and improving performance of the enterprise network. <br />8.Performs basic diagnostic procedures to determine causes of hardware and software failures <br />following documented procedures <br />9.Performs related duties as required. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Bachelor's Degree in computer systems related area; OR <br />2.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Basic working knowledge of: Window and Novell local area networks; network installations including <br />hardware and software; switches, routers and wireless devices; internet and intranet based applications; <br />research and analysis concepts and techniques; project management and general planning concepts. <br />Skill and ability to: Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; convey technical and complex <br />information to staff; troubleshoot and resolve client/user concerns and operational problems; perform PC, <br />printer, and network installations; rack and cable switches, routers, and servers under the supervision of <br />NA3 or supervisor; train and direct others in use of system; coordinate and implement projects of a minor <br />nature; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with system users and other county <br />personnel. <br />ADOPTED: <br />02/99 <br />REVISED: <br />04/09 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />04/09; 01/10; 01/18 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br />
