<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Support Services <br />Technician <br />Class Code: <br />198 <br />Bargaining Unit: 05 - Marion County Law <br />Enforcement Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />Established Date: Jun 1, 1978 <br />Revision Date: Aug 1, 2011 <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$19.44 - $25.31 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt 03 TechniciansSheriff <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Independently performs a variety of responsible administrative support activities, requiring a high degree <br />of accuracy in the application of Sheriff's Office procedures; performs related work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of an administrative superior, who sets goals, assigns work, and <br />reviews performance for accuracy and conformance to office standards. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Enters and retrieves data from a variety of sources including local, state, and federal organizations <br />such as Oregon Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS), National Crime Information Center Data <br />System (NCIC), etc., following procedures, policies, and requirements of all. Provides database <br />information from a variety of law enforcement sources to deputies, officers, and staff. <br />2.Extracts a variety of criminal and non-criminal data from various reporting sources; assigns <br />appropriate codes. Enters data into automated records management systems, i.e., state and/or <br />national systems. <br />3.Processes criminal warrants, orders, and information through the automated criminal justice <br />records system; confirms warrants or documents that grant, or could lead to, a person's arrest to <br />local and out-of-state law enforcement officers. Ensures valid, recalled, and canceled criminal <br />warrants are returned to the appropriate courts.
