<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Electrician 1 <br />Class Code: <br />496 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$24.50 - $32.84 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt 07 Skilled Craft Business Services <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs skilled electrical and electronic installation, testing, maintenance and repair work for County <br />buildings and equipment; performs related building maintenance work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor who assigns and outlines work projects and <br />inspects results for compliance with departmental standards, applicable codes and regulations. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Performs skilled preventative and corrective electrical maintenance work to all equipment <br />associated with county buildings, such as power distribution centers, HVAC operational and <br />control systems, sprinkler systems, interior and exterior lighting, motors, electrical door systems <br />and miscellaneous building maintenance equipment. <br />2.Evaluates and maintains electrical systems for adequate capacity, safety, and codes compliance. <br />3.Assists in maintaining records related to electrical repairs. <br />4.Coordinates with other maintenance personnel to evaluate electrical plant aspects to insure safety <br />to the public and all county personnel. <br />5.Installs, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs various electronic equipment, such as security systems, <br />alarm systems, CCTV, HVAC and lighting controls, etc. Diagnoses and repairs/replaces <br />electronics down to the component level. <br />6.Assists other divisional personnel in skilled and semi-skilled preventive and corrective non- <br />electrical maintenance work to county buildings and their associated equipment as required to <br />maintain high quality service. <br />7.Safely operates a variety of hand and power tools and equipment in the maintenance and custody <br />of county buildings. <br />8.Orders electrical and electronic supplies and tools; maintains electrical storeroom. <br />9.Supports and facilitates the department's mission to provide efficient, responsive and quality <br />services to customers and clients. <br />10.Provides other maintenance tasks as assigned. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
