Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from high school; AND <br />2.Four (4) years increasingly responsible experience performing general electrical repair work; OR <br />3.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Must possess, or obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Class C Oregon driver's license. (May be <br />> <br />modified under exceptional circumstances.) <br />Must possess a valid State of Oregon General Journeyman Electrician's license; OR must possess <br />> <br />a valid State of Oregon Plant Journeyman Electrician's license. <br />Must be able to distinguish color coded cables. <br />> <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Considerable knowledge of: electrical systems and the repair of heating and cooling systems found in <br />large commercial and public buildings; safety procedures and tools used in the repair of electrical <br />systems; electronic theory, troubleshooting, and repair fundamentals; power generation and electrical <br />circuits. <br />Skill and ability to: work from written and oral instructions; read and understand electrical, electronic, and <br />mechanical schematic diagrams; perform skilled tasks in the repair of electrical systems; use tools and <br />test equipment to troubleshoot, repair, install, and service various types of electrical and electronic <br />equipment; use and operate hand and mechanical tools necessary to building maintenance; develop and <br />maintain effective and professional working relationships with other employees, tenants, the public and <br />other agencies; operate a computer; operate a motor vehicle. <br />ADOPTED: <br />10/88 <br />REVISED: <br />06/94; 08/94; 08/95; 01/97; 03/98; 02/06 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />02/06; 04/18 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br />
