<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Facilities Program <br />Manager <br />Class Code: <br />494 <br />Bargaining Unit: 02 - Supervisory <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$2,941.60 - $3,940.80 Biweekly <br />$6,373.47 - $8,538.40 Monthly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSAEEOCDepartment <br />: Exempt : 02 Professionals : Business Services <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Directs maintenance of the public's investment in Marion County facilities by managing, directing, and <br />coordinating the activities of the facilities program of the county business services department. Activities <br />include capital improvement projects and construction programs necessary for development of new <br />facilities and maintenance of existing facilities. Development of short and long range lease or owned <br />plans for facilities use, facilitation of interdepartmental cooperation and support, and overall supervision of <br />program personnel. Performs other related work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of the Business Services Director who outlines operating policy and <br />reviews work for conformance to standards. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Exercises supervision over management, administrative, maintenance and custodial staff as assigned; <br />selects new personnel, provides for training, evaluates performance, responds to grievances, and <br />recommends personnel actions. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Directs the care and maintenance of county buildings and grounds by establishing goals, <br />objectives, timelines, action plans, and solutions to govern the work of the program. Effectively <br />coordinates activities, services, and schedules to ensure smooth and efficient operation of work. <br />Establishes maintenance and cleanliness standards for buildings and grounds. <br />2.Builds and maintains internal and external customer satisfaction with the products and services <br />offered by the program. Analyzes problems effectively and determines appropriate action from <br />available alternatives. Leads and motivates staff to successfully achieve objectives and provide <br />quality services. <br />3.Manage, coordinate and collaborate the negotiation of county wide leases, tax exemption renewals <br />and applications.
