<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Plumbing Inspector <br />Class Code: <br />112 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />Established Date: Jun 1, 1978 <br />Revision Date: Jun 13, 2018 <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$28.32 - $37.92 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt01 Officials and AdministratorsPublic Works <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Inspects all types and stages of plumbing installations and plans for compliance with Oregon State <br />Plumbing Specialty Code as adopted by Marion County; performs other related duties as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the supervision of the Assistant Building Official who out-lines assignments and reviews <br />work through meetings and reports. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision is not a regular responsibility of positions in this class, but an incumbent will be expected to <br />take leadership in assisting less experienced inspectors on training assignments or inspections of a <br />difficult or unusual nature. <br />WORKING CONDITIONS <br />Work is performed in a general office or field environment. Office work includes the use of a computer <br />using word processing, spreadsheet, permit tracking applications, and e-mail programs or programs <br />specific to the position. Fieldwork includes working in a variety of inclement weather conditions. May be <br />required to work flexible schedules and long hours throughout the year, particularly during construction <br />season (May through October). <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Inspects plumbing installations and systems during construction to ensure compliance with <br />applicable requirements. <br />2.Reviews construction plans for completeness and compliance with County codes and policies as <br />required in assisting applicants. <br />3.Assists and advises the general public in matters relating to plumbing fixtures, materials, and code <br />requirements. <br />4.Reviews commercial plumbing plans for code compliance as required. <br />5.Maintains records and compiles reports of inspection activities. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
