<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Construction Project <br />Coordinator <br />Class Code: <br />493 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$29.72 - $39.82 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt 02 Professionals Business Services <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Develops and oversees building maintenance and construction projects for the Facilities Management <br />Division of Business Services, including developing project specifications and scope, scheduling, <br />estimating project costs, contracting, procurement, and contractor management. Perform other related <br />duties as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the direction of the facilities program manager or designee. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification; however, <br />incumbent may serve as a lead worker over employees engaged in facilities maintenance and <br />construction projects. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Oversees pre-construction evaluations and planning activities for building maintenance and <br />construction projects; makes recommendations regarding project feasibility; develops construction <br />project plans and cost estimates. <br />2.Develops project scope and specification for building improvement and construction projects; <br />manage project budget, change orders, submittals, and modifications; completes and submits <br />building permit applications; confers with consultants and county management to prepare project <br />schedule and budgetary elements. <br />3.Coordinates purchasing processes for projects using approved county purchasing methodologies; <br />identifies financing strategies to fund project/program; coordinates, responsible for reviewing and <br />making recommendations on bids and proposals; prepares and submits grant applications and <br />other funding requests. <br />4.Schedules projects and contractors based on departmental and countywide needs; regularly <br />communicates construction schedule and potential project related disruptions to the affected <br />departments; attends and facilitates meetings regarding project status. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
