installations are available in our office. The electrical wiring to the pump and alarm must be installed in accordance with the appropriate Electrical Code. The electrical work must be done under a Marion County Electrical Permit and must be inspected and approved by a Marion County Electrical Inspector. The work must be left uncovered and accessible for inspection. The electrical inspection includes the connections to the pump and alarm in the dosing tank, the wiring in the trench and the connections in the structure. DO NOT INSTALL SYSTEM DURING WINTER MONTHS(Nov. 1 —March 1) The geographical area in which the property lies is considered a risk to installation during winter months. Therefore, for this installation a Marion County Onsite Wastewater Specialist must specifically approve this site for installation from November 1" to March 161. This may include a field visit directly prior to installation. THE ATTACHED SEPTIC TANK ABANDONMENT FORM MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED TO OUR OFFICE. The septic system installer must complete and sign the form and attach a copy of the receipt from the septic tank pumping service for pumping the tank. OBSERVE ALL SETBACKS AND SEPARATION DISTANCES as required by the DEQ rules. Drainfield lines require a separation of at least 10 feet from existing drainfield lines. A copy of the DEQ setback requirements is included for your review. THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic, livestock and farming activities. Other activities such as excavating or filling, driveway placement, paving or other similar activities that alter the natural soil conditions will adversely affect the soil and the septic system function and lead to premature system failure. The area must not be subjected to excessive saturation due to artificial drainage of ground surfaces, driveways, building downspouts or other sources. The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair system must both be protected. THIS SYSTEM MUST BE INSPECTED AND APPROVED PRIOR TO BACKFILL. When work is complete and ready for inspection, request an inspection by following the instructions on the accompanying permit document. Be sure the System Record form with the As-Built drawing is on the job or in our office when the inspection is requested.
