<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Developmental <br />Disabilities Specialist 1 <br />Class Code: <br />563 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$23.33 - $31.28 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt 02 ProfessionalsHealth and Human Services <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Conducts independent functional needs assessments; plans and carries out case management functions <br />for complex/high risk intellectual or developmentally disabled (I/DD) clients; provides crisis intervention <br />services; coordinates urgent and planned placement requests; facilitates foster care licensing, <br />certification and monitoring of qualified Medicaid providers, ; assists in the development, training, and <br />implementation of I/DD associated services to the community; performs related work as required. <br />Primary responsibility of this class is to provide complex case coordination, crisis intervention, foster care <br />licensing and certification, monitoring of qualified Medicaid providers, data analysis, quality <br />assurance/quality improvement, and monitoring the use of designated fund allocations. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the ongoing supervision of a supervisor who assigns work, establishes goals, and reviews <br />the results obtained for overall effectiveness through the analysis of reports and conferences. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a primary responsibility of positions in this classification; may assist <br />in the supervision of practicum students or volunteers. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Conducts required functional needs assessment(s) to determine individual eligibility and service <br />needs for complex/high risk individuals enrolled in I/DD services; <br />2.Facilitates provider rate assessments and monitors Department funded services provided to <br />complex/high risk individuals enrolled in I/DD services. <br />3.Develops individual service plan (ISP) to meet needs of complex/high risk individuals; and <br />authorizes the provision of I/DD funded services. <br />4.Makes referrals and coordinates with other agencies as needed to obtain placements and services <br />for complex/high risk individuals. <br />5.Provides technical assistance support during protective service investigations and assures <br />recommended corrective actions are implemented and completed to assure the health and safety <br />of complex/high risk individuals. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
