Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />9.Reviews and makes recommendations regarding program policies and procedures; drafts Nursing <br />Service policies/procedures as appropriate; coordinates the revision and updating of Standing <br />Orders for Nurses, annually. <br />10.Evaluates results of treatment interventions based on feedback elicited from consumer and/or <br />family members, reports from treatment team members or other providers, or behavioral <br />observations. <br />11.Assists with culturally appropriate intervention, integration and delivery of services for consumers <br />who belong to minority population groups. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Possession of an Associate Degree in Nursing; AND <br />2.Four (4) years behavioral health nursing experience; OR <br />3.Possession of a BA/BS in a related field (e.g., nursing, health education, psychology or social <br />work), and two years Behavioral Health nursing experience; OR <br />4.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Possess a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the state of Oregon at <br />> <br />the time of appointment. <br />Must possess, or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Oregon driver's license. <br />> <br />For mental health nurses, must meet requirements for credentialing as a Qualified Mental Health <br />> <br />Associate or Qualified Mental Health Specialist. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Comprehensive knowledge of: the practice of community behavioral health nursing, organization of <br />behavioral health programs; methods, principles, techniques and materials/equipment used in providing <br />behavioral health services; agency policies and procedures, state statutes and administrative rules for <br />behavioral health programs; <br />Ability to: provide direction for professional staff; communicate effectively orally and in writing; establish <br />and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients and other agency personnel; accept and <br />utilize management direction and consultation. <br />ADOPTED: <br />5/80 <br />REVISED: <br />06/87; 10/91; 12/03; 01/09; 12/16; 10/17 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />7/08; 10/15; 09/18 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br />
