<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Budget Analyst 1 <br />Class Code: <br />086 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$1,778.40 - $2,383.20 Biweekly <br />$3,853.20 - $5,163.60 Monthly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Exempt02 ProfessionalsMultiple Departments <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs standard budget and financial analysis work; manages multimillion dollar budget, including <br />fiscal monitoring of grants, and budget projects; performs the department's purchasing, accounts payable <br />and receivable functions; reviews, tracks and makes recommendations on the fiscal impact of all <br />department purchase orders, payments and contracts. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of a higher level administrative or professional employee who <br />assigns work, establishes goals, and reviews the results obtained for overall effectiveness through the <br />analysis of performance, reports and conferences. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Manages multimillion dollar budget, including all fiscal aspects (drafts, projections, incremental <br />proposals) of department's annual budget process. <br />2.Conducts orientation and training on the budget process, including preparation, understanding and <br />managing budgets, for managers and supervisors. <br />3.Reviews all budgetary requests for additional funds and advises management on fiscal impact and <br />affordability; calculates cost projections and performs analyses. <br />4.Tracks revenue sources monthly against current project budgets; prepares variance reports; <br />calculates annual carryover of funds. <br />5.Acts as liaison with granting agencies and other agencies regarding fiscal and statistical reporting <br />requirements associated with specific grants. <br />6.Resolves administrative and fiscal procedural difficulties between department and granting <br />agencies. <br />7.Reviews department expenditures to ensure integrity of grant fund disbursement; prepares <br />monthly reports to granting agencies on disbursement of funds, including identification of other <br />revenue sources. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
