Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />8.Participates as required in audits of contracts, fiscal reports, allocations of staff time, payments to <br />subcontractors. <br />9.Performs the department accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including <br />processing billings and deposits. <br />10.Completes other agencies' surveys on department's spending patterns; prepares fiscal reports for <br />justification of rate increases, comparisons on means of funding services, cost analyses. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Associate Degree in accounting, public administration, business administration, economics or <br />related field; AND <br />2.Two (2) years responsible experience in the preparation and review of local government budgets <br />and related fiscal areas, including monitoring of government grants and contracts; OR <br />3.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Considerable knowledge of: financial practices and procedures in local government; accounting practices <br />and procedures; office practices; <br />Ability to: analyze a budget and make appropriate recommendations; do in-depth research and write <br />reports; analyze issues, procedures and problems and to write reports with alternative solutions; to <br />communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relations <br />with other governmental agencies, employees and the public. <br />ADOPTED: <br />05/91 <br />REVISED: <br />10/01; 11/04 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />03/03; 09/13; 02/19 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br />
