<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Contracts Specialist <br />Senior <br />Class Code: <br />308 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />Revision Date: Mar 1, 2005 <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$26.96 - $36.17 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department <br />Non-Exempt 02 Professionals : Multiple Departments <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Develops, coordinates, and processes contracts ensuring legal, policy, and procedural compliance. <br />Audits contractor compliance through site audits and review of required reports. Monitors contract <br />budgets, cost center allocations, and special contract conditions. Perform financial duties related to the <br />receiving and reporting of contract funds. Performs other duties as assigned. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the supervision of department management, with the ongoing support and direction of the <br />department Contracts Team, which assigns work, established goals, and reviews the results obtained for <br />overall effectiveness through the analysis of reports and conferences. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. However, may <br />serve as a lead worker over personnel in department for contract maintenance issues. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Develops, coordinates, and process department contracts and agreements including negotiating, <br />writing, auditing, analyzing budget impacts, and monitoring department compliance with rules, <br />statutes, and policies and procedures. Amends contracts based upon changes in contract amount, <br />service type or special conditions. <br />2.Prepares request for proposals or routine letters of agreement between the department and other <br />county departments, government agencies or outside parties; acquires quotes, conducts bidder's <br />conferences; participates in review of contractor proposals. <br />3.Prepares advertisements, bid documents, paperwork, and correspondence to vendors and <br />recommendations to Business Services for the Board's approval. <br />4.Monitors contract budgets, cost center allocations, and special contract conditions including client <br />resources, payment schedules and terms, service descriptions, and reporting and staffing <br />requirements.Completes journal entries and performs accounts payable function for department <br />service contracts. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
