Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />8.Acts as professional liaison, representing the Department with community physicians, dentists and <br />other allied professions, and with the general public. <br />9.Serves as primary nursing resource for all County Corrections Facility inmates and acts as <br />consultant to nursing staff on difficult cases; consults with others as needed for problem solving of <br />medical and security issues. <br />10.Maintains knowledge of health care as it impacts inmates in a correctional setting; monitors health <br />records for compliance with informed consent rules and regulations. <br />11.Directs and monitors infection control; maintains liaison with dietary and commissary sections. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Four (4) year college degree in nursing from an accredited school with current certification in <br />professional nursing and three (3) years of responsible experience in health nursing, including at <br />least one (1) year supervisory experience; OR <br />2.Two (2) year college degree in nursing from an accredited school with current certification in <br />professional nursing and five (5) years of responsible experience in health nursing, including at <br />least one (1) year supervisory experience; OR <br />3.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon. <br />> <br />Possess, or obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Class 4 Oregon drivers license.
