<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Data Specialist <br />Class Code: <br />185 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$29.72 - $39.82 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt 03 TechnicianMultiple <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Incumbents perform journey-level activities to the research and analysis of routine administrative and <br />business management policies and practices while developing proficiency and experience related to <br />government operations and administration. Responsibilities include preparing statistical and related <br />reports; providing administrative and analytical support; and analyzing budget, program, contract, and/or <br />service delivery modifications. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the supervision of a supervisor who assigns work, establishes goals, and reviews the results <br />obtained for overall effectiveness. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Primary supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Provides journey-level staff assistance and preliminary analysis of routine policies involving <br />organizational, administrative, and/or fiscal processes and services. <br />2.Provides general County information in assigned area of responsibility. <br />3.Prepares variety of analytical reports on operations and activities in assigned area of responsibility. <br />4.Reviews agenda and contract items; analyzes background information and supporting materials <br />are available; assists departments in maintaining agenda standards. <br />5.Conducts surveys and performs research and statistical analysis; prepares related reports. <br />6.Researches and collects information regarding requests for proposals for outside contractors. <br />7.Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Bachelor's Degree in business or public administration, public affairs or a related field; AND <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
