May perform any task of lower level <br />class in this job series in the same or other specialty area. Performs related work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of an engineer, project manager or under the lead responsibility of <br />an engineering technician of higher grade, who makes assignments and reviews work performance. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this class; however, may exercise <br />lead responsibility over temporary employees and engineering technicians of lower classifications. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />GENERAL <br />(Applies to all specialties) <br />1.Provides lead direction in responding to complaints or requests for information; oversees collection <br />of data, evaluates information and alternatives, provides written documentation, and makes <br />recommendations. <br />2.Researches and recommends upgrades to technical systems in area of expertise; develops, <br />revises, and implements changes to processes and standards. <br />Design Specialty <br />1.Performs computer-aided drafting work requiring the application of engineering knowledge to <br />produce maps, structural plans, right-of-way plots, drawings or charts, and mass diagrams. <br />2.Prepares transportation plan maps, including arterial and collector maps, local street system maps, <br />and traffic flow maps. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
