May perform any task of lower level classes in this job series in the <br />same or other specialty area. Performs other duties as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general direction of an engineering or project management professional or upper level <br />administrative staff. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. However, acts as <br />a lead worker for temporary employees, engineering technicians of lower grade, and administrative <br />personnel and takes considerable responsibility over multi-project programs (e.g., paving program, capital <br />improvements program) <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />GENERAL <br />(Applies to all specialties) <br />1.Negotiates, writes, and processes formal and informal agreements, contracts, and requests for <br />proposals. <br />2.Acts as lead worker of sections or subsections within the engineering division or of special <br />projects. <br />3.Responsible for upgrades to technical systems and processes in area of expertise; researches and <br />networks to maintain overall awareness of changes and new developments in the industry in area <br />of expertise; develops, introduces, implements, and maintains new and revised processes and <br />procedures. <br />4.Performs training of other technicians and administrative staff, as required. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
