Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Must possess, or obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Oregon driver's license. Must possess, at <br />> <br />time of hire, and maintain an acceptable driver's record. <br />Must pass a criminal history background investigation. Conviction of a crime may not necessarily <br />> <br />disqualify an individual for this classification. <br />Incumbents responsible for inspection duties must have an Oregon Department of Transportation <br />> <br />(ODOT) Interim Qualified Inspector Certificate/General Inspection Certification, and all of the <br />following additional certifications: Traffic Signal Inspector, Bridge Inspector, Erosion Control <br />Inspector, or HMAC Inspector. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Working knowledge of: geometry, algebra, and elementary trigonometry; basic practices and procedures <br />of civil engineering technology and construction work, drawings and plans; construction and inspection <br />methods, materials and testing techniques; Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS); design standards and <br />codes; traffic codes; and zoning ordinances. <br />Skills and ability to: use both manual and computer aided drafting tools; both field and office engineering <br />instruments, especially computers; to make accurate computations; to follow written and oral instructions <br />accurately; to conduct research and write technical reports; effectively plan and prioritize multi project <br />workload; meet project scheduling and delivery requirements; establish and maintain effective working <br />relationships with other employees, contractors, and members of the public; and to assume lead <br />responsibility for other employees as required. <br />ADOPTED: <br />07/83 <br />REVISED: <br />07/83: 09/83; 11/89; 06/90; 08/93; 10/94; 08/06; 04/08 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />08/12; 09/13; 02/14; 05/20 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br />
