<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Fleet Specialist <br />Class Code: <br />438 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$23.33 - $31.28 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt 05 ParaprofessionalsPublic Works <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs a variety of administrative, analytical, and budget functions related to fleet operations; collects, <br />organizes, analyzes, and interprets data; prepares reports and makes recommendations. Perform other <br />related duties as assigned. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of the Fleet Shop Supervisor. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. Incumbent may <br />provide technical direction to fleet employees and leadership over administrative or technical staff for <br />specific projects. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Researches, analyzes, and develops reports from data related to fleet and parts operations <br />including miles per gallon comparison, parts movement, fuel usage, vehicle usage. <br />2.Works in collaboration with Information Technology on the on-going development of fleet software; <br />initiates modifications; recommends changes to business practices and guides policy review; <br />troubleshoots system or user errors to facilitate daily productivity. Views compiled data, and <br />analyzes it for accuracy. <br />3.Completes administrative functions related to titling county vehicles with the State of Oregon, <br />Department of Motor Vehicles; maintains issued titles and ensures their safekeeping. <br />4.Oversees and monitors the county fuel system, which includes four locations. Diagnoses and <br />repairs fuel system components, computer system hardware and the in ground fuel tank <br />components; reviews data tapes from fuel system; notes any deficiencies in the system; and <br />contacts the appropriate repair facility when repairs are needed. <br />5.Prepares DEQ reports for review by the Fleet Supervisor, by using data generated from the fuel <br />system. . <br />6.Tracks the Fleet budget for vehicle and equipment purchases and repair expenses; documents <br />discrepancies and makes recommendations for reallocation of funds, as necessary. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
