Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />public health, mental health, developmental disabilities, and alcohol and drug programs as set forth by <br />the Oregon Health Authority; state and local government systems and political environments; community <br />development models, policies and strategies. <br />Skills in: creating policies and overseeing implementation of initiatives and strategies; creating support, <br />facilitating collaboration, and negotiating participation among advocacy groups, boards and commissions, <br />state and local government administrators, business and service providers, and legislators; high level <br />skills in management principles and practices; <br />Ability to: plan for, coordinate and direct professional, technical, and clerical staff in providing public <br />health, mental health, developmental disabilities, alcohol and drug programs; conduct performance <br />evaluations on subordinate staff, and to handle grievance and disciplinary problems; establish and <br />maintain effective working relationships with agency personnel, county officials, volunteer organizations, <br />and the general public; interpret and apply laws and policies to specific problems relating to public local <br />health, mental health, developmental disabilities, and alcohol and drug program activities.
