Duties and responsibilities support one or more of the <br />following programs: employee recruitment and selection, personnel ordinance and policy administration, <br />position classification and compensation, employee training and development, benefits administration, <br />risk management, wellness, loss control, workers' compensation claims management, liability, property <br />and casualty claims management, human resources, risk management and workers' compensation <br />information systems, leave of absence, labor relations and collective bargaining. Performs other related <br />duties as assigned. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of the human resources manager, benefits and risk manager or <br />assigned designee, who provides general supervision, which includes assigning and reviewing work for <br />conformance to established policies. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification, however, when <br />assigned may exercise lead direction over human resource specialists, interns or volunteers. <br />DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS <br />This is the advanced journey level classification in the Human Resources Specialist series. Positions at <br />this level are distinguished from other classes within the series by the level of responsibility and <br />complexity of duties assigned including, providing expert-level support to a program manager, acting as a <br />project manager over department or agency-wide projects or programs, and the designation as a "system <br />module owner". <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Provides guidance, expertise, and technical support to human resources software system users; <br />acts as a liaison for resolving systems and user issues; gathers information from users and <br />recommends best practice methods to complete human resources processes. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
