<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Information Technology <br />Project Manager Senior <br />Class Code: <br />093 <br />Bargaining Unit: 13 - Non-Supervisory <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$3,084.00 - $4,130.40 Biweekly <br />$6,682.00 - $8,949.20 Monthly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSAEEOCDepartment <br />: Exempt : 02 Professionals : Information Technology <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />The Information Technology Senior Project Manager develops and implements the project portfolio plan <br />of critical technology projects, manages assigned staff, vendors and consultants, and is responsible for <br />the successful completion of projects. Coordinates the planning, development, administration and <br />implementation of major business process re-engineering technology projects from inception to <br />completion; Provides guidance to other Project Managers to ensure repeatable and standardized Project <br />Management methodology, measurable by objective and quantifiable key performance indicators across <br />a projects' life-cycle. Ensures application of project governance, industry best practices and standards. <br />Perform other duties as assigned. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of an IT or Program Manager, who will assign, review, prioritize and <br />ensure conformance to established standards, and practices for the work being performed. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />The Senior Project Manager provides technical and functional direction over personnel assigned to highly <br />complex project(s). Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of this classification; however, <br />incumbents are responsible for lead direction over assigned Project Managers, contractors, and <br />consultants. May provide input on employee performance and provide assistance and recommendation <br />in the hiring process. <br />DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS <br />The Senior Project Manager is the expert level classification in the Project Manager series and has <br />responsibility for assignments that require a higher level of expertise and independent judgment that may <br />include policy level issues that impact the department.
